| Description: | Senior Java Software Engineer to conduct performance evaluations across a suite of Weblogic-hosted Java enterprise applications. Responsibilities include: working with development teams to document user- and event-based inputs for each application; measuring the current processing rates for each of these inputs; discovering application bottlenecks for each input; remediating Java code for performance issues; maintaining performance reports for each application for publication to senior management. Candidate must be an expert in core Java as well as Java server technologies, including EJB, JDBC and JMS. XML, XSLT, MQ Series all a plus. Prior experience with Java performance tools in a similar role also a strong plus. Required: Extremely strong analytical skills 5+ years hands-on Java 3+ years hands-on EJB 1+ years hands-on JMS 3+ years hands on Sybase or RDBMS equivalent (Sybase preferred) Excellent communication skills Comfortable interacting with multiple development teams 3+ years experience with one of Weblogic, Websphere, JBOSS or comparable Java enterprise application server (Weblogic strongly preferred) Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science required Desired: excellent documentation skills for composing charts and data presentations Java performance tool experience (any vendor) prior experience with Java server application performance tuning MQ Series, XML, XSLT, Hibernate |
