| Description: | Derivatives trading back office technology group is seeking a team leader for its core infrastructure and hardware group. The infrastructure group is responsible for hardware and infrastructure software technology used across all derivatives back office applications. As the leader of this team you will be responsible for: •leading the team of 2 to 3 technologists; •inventory management of all hardware across the back office derivatives trading group (approx. 130 servers hosting multiple applications); •driving software and hardware upgrades across all application development teams; •coordinating with application development leaders to eliminate use of declining and not permitted (DNP) technologies; •composing and executing a plan to migrate all existing hardware into newly-designated strategic data centers; •disaster recovery readiness for all applications; •remediating technologies on servers found to be non-compliant with corporate security and regulatory requirements; •maintain and certify documentation of all back office systems and connections. Publish this documentation regularly to senior technology management. •project management of all team deliverables and reporting status to senior leadership; •maintaining and publishing project plans for all team deliverables; •providing strategic direction for the use of infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to: application servers, operating systems, virtual computing, messaging, database, CPU and hardware platforms •working with corporate technology request and fulfillment groups running design and implementation of new hardware and infrastructure projects The following skills or qualifications are required: •at least 3 years experience leading a technology team with a proven track record of on-time deliverables •excellent communication skills •excellent project management skills •natural, strong rapport with team members and peers •comfortable managing multiple numbers of projects simultaneously •5+ years Unix environment experience •3+ years Unix shell scripting or equivalent experience •Experience with Weblogic 9 or greater a strong plus •Java programming experience a strong plus •B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering required. |
